Business • McMurtry College • 1st year at Rice

Hi guys! My name is Tam. I grew up in Vietnam and came to Texas in 2018. I’m an alum of Lone Star College–CyFair. I’m also a Rice student at McMurtry, where I get to have my cat in the dorm. My cat’s name is Lily, and I love to hang out with her in my free time.

I also love research, specifically in non-STEM fields like social sciences and humanities. My passion led me to the opportunity to spend my summer of 2025 participating in the Johns Hopkins University Mellon Humanities Collaboratory, and I will continue to participate in similar programs at Rice. At the same time, I plan to attend law school after graduation, with the goal of pursuing a career that combines the knowledge of both law and business (basically, becoming a corporate lawyer, but I like saying it the fancy way).
