Mechanical Engineering (BS) • Duncan College • 2nd year at Rice

Just before transferring to Rice, I joined their Research Experience for Undergraduates summer program and loved it, which made me look forward to life at Rice. Now, after a year as a transfer student from Lone Star, I tried many new activities that I had longed for: I joined the Duncan bike team, made puzzles through the escape room club, rock climbed with new friends, and connected with a lot of the really welcoming students and professors at Rice! We say that Rice has a big Culture of Care, and I completely agree with it. This upcoming junior year, I look forward to engaging with the energy and sustainability side of Rice's clubs and career programs even further!
