Communication Studies • Jones College • 2nd year at Rice

I’m a first-generation, low-income student who transferred from Lone Star College–Tomball as an Honors Distinguished Global Scholar. At Rice, I created my own interdisciplinary major in Communication Studies, and I’m on the pre-law track while interning at a Houston law firm, working with the Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry, and supporting the Office of the Provost. After Rice, I hope to attend law school and eventually practice international law or serve as a diplomat. Community college will always hold a special place in my heart, and I’m passionate about making sure transfer students feel empowered to thrive at Rice. My advice is to take advantage of every opportunity you can!
