Hi everyone, my name is Faisal Piperdi, and I’m a junior at Rice, transferring from Lone Star College - University Park. I’m majoring in Statistics with a minor in Data Science, and I’m especially interested in sports analytics and data visualization. Outside of class, I’ve been involved in research and community volunteering, which have all shaped how I approach challenges and growth. After Rice, I hope to pursue a master’s in Data Science and work on projects that combine data with real-world impact. My advice is to take advantage of every opportunity to step outside your comfort zone—it’s where you’ll find the most growth.
