Electrical and Computer Engineering • Sid Richardson College • 1st year at Rice

Hi everyone, my name is Alvin Andrade and I transferred from Lone Star College - Kingwood. During Summer 2026, I participated in an REU at NC State University, where I did machine learning research for wearable devices. I hope to continue doing research at Rice within the Digital Health Initiative contributing heavily to health technologies, while also advocating for and helping community college students reach their goals! Besides academics, I love playing Minecraft (specifically Bedwars), playing soccer, trying new food, and doing outdoor activities in general. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions :)
